Oyster Sauce and Butter Noodles

Simple, delicious, and prepped and cooked in under 15 minutes! Oyster Sauce and Butter Noodles is the perfect weekday lunch or dinner. Asian ingredients meet Italian method for a wonderful dish.

 
 

Logistics:

  • Portion Size: 2 People

  • Prep Time: 2-5 Minutes

  • Cook Time: 10-12 Minutes

Ingredients:

  • 2 Portions Egg Noodles (or any noddle of your choosing)

  • 3 Garlic Cloves

  • 3 Green Onions

  • 1/2 Fresno Chili

  • 1/2-1 Cup Shrimp (or meat of your choosing)

  • 2-3 tbsp Salted Butter

Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp Oyster Sauce

  • Dash of Sesame Oil

  • Dash of Rice Vinegar

  • 1/2-1 tbsp Soy Sauce

  • Dash of MSG

Method:

  1. Get your water on to boil. Once boiling, wherever you are in the cooking process, cook your noodles until just before al dente.

  2. Prep your ingredients: finely slice the chilis, garlic, and green onions, setting the green tops aside for garnish.

  3. If using a meat, prep/season however you would like.

  4. Mix your sauce.

  5. Tablespoon of butter in a skillet. Fry off your chilis, green onions, and garlic. Add in your meat of choosing.

  6. Drain noodles when finished, setting aside a 1/4 cup of pasta water in case you need to adjust sauce consistency.

  7. Add your noodles into the pan, tossing to combine.

  8. Add in your sauce, tossing to combine. Adjust sauce and seasoning as desired!

  9. Simple, quick, and delicious! Garnish with green onions and a little sesame oil and dig in!
